Real Faith

Believing in Jesus is easy. A lot of people do. Everybody believes in God. Atheists believe in God, they just refuse to admit it. The have an issue of hating God, being ashamed of God or some other reason. But deep down in our inner core being we all believe in God. We know He is real. Everybody believes in God. But there are few who have FAITH in Him. Faith and belief are not the same thing. They are similar but they are two different things.

Believing in Jesus is different from having faith in Jesus. Belief is an intellectual agreement in your mind. Faith is also an intellectual agreement in your mind...But so much more. Faith combines knowledge with action, a love and trust so strong that it spawns action. Faith is a beautiful thing. In the bible it is called a 'mystery'. Faith cannot be dwindled down to a mere belief or intellectual thought. It is walking on water. It is walking into fire without harm. It is safe in a lions den. Faith is a belief plus an act. Not a mere though floating around in your head. It's your head, your heart, your soul and your actions coming together as one to worship God.

Faith will be accounted to you as rightouesness. Real childlike faith that goes beyond the 'intellectual thought' kind of 'faith' will be your rightouesness. Just believing in Jesus is not a free ticket to heaven. Worship by faith requires all of your being. The christian life is a walk of faith, and your faith, TRUE faith is precious to God. so that the authenticity of your faith— more precious than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire— may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.. Faith is fully trusting God. So much that your actions don't make sense in the natural world. For we walk by faith, not by sight. Its illogical and scary to walk on water. It took REAL faith. Trust and love is in the mystery of faith. Trusting in His goodness and love for you is in faith. When fear and doubt entered Peters heart he started to sink, he was focusing on the natural. If he continued to have childlike faith with all the  love and trust it contains, he probably wouldn't have sunk, But God is so good, He drew peter out of the water and saved Him when he lost faith. Shadrach, Meshac and Abednego had great faith, trust and obedience to Him. They walked into a furnace of fire heated seven times hotter than normal because they refused to deny Him. God is so good and miraculous, they didn't even smell like fire or had a single hair singed when they walked out. We can be faithless sometimes. But God will never lose his love, trustworthiness, and goodness. Having faith can be scary. Faith acts are big decisions crossing over the natural realm. Jesus has asked us many times to be not afraid. Fear kills faith acts and interferes with the love that we need to abide in. Perfect love casts out all fear. God is love. Faith is a love act. Faith is a trust act. And fear cannot be involved. True Faith is something that is in the heart of a child. Walk in faith. Even if its scary. God will save you. Fear not.
